Open House at ICITY: Photo Report
On Sunday, April 13, ICITY Learning Center held its very first Open House event.
Ahead of the start of classes scheduled for May 5, the center welcomed residents of Mykolaiv for the first time. Around 70 visitors explored ICITY’s educational programs and met the instructors, as well as toured the learning classrooms.
In the IT classroom, guests had the chance to try out a virtual reality headset, as immersive learning methods are integrated into ICITY’s curriculum at all stages. In the Biotechnology room, attendees observed plant and insect samples under microscopes and learned about plant microcloning in vitro and hydroponics — a method of growing plants used in scientific programs including those by NASA. In the Makerspace, visitors competed on drone piloting simulators and explored 3D printing technology.
